I hope I am not alone in thinking that children’s books are magic; that in nights of insomnia most of us would in fact, still turn the pages our our most cherished childhood picture book if we had it handy (clearly I don’t have kids, those who do  probably read their favorite childhood book, twice). libraries for humanity

There is about one homeless person per visitor that goes through those giant glass public library doors. inside it is quiet, warm, and there is an infinite number of possible places to snooze or read. not a bad place to go when you ain’t got no other place to go. Aaron and I were babbling about [the point of] having libraries in a technologically-wired world, one in which pages in books are no longer needed in order to read a book. though inconclusively, we did end our conversation thinking… we need libraries to stay human.
